When I first brought my puppy home a few weeks ago, I had the best of intentions. I was going to keep my camera out and make lots of images as she grew up and slowly learned the ropes here in MN. Ha! When I actually got her home, and I realized that everything now took about three times as long to do, because I had a crazy German Shorthaired Pointer puppy to look after! If I turn my back for even one second, she’s under the couch chewing the stuffing out, sneaking upstairs to grab clothes that are on the floor, or finding some other way to keep me occupied with her. The result has been that I barely have time to get my work done, let alone grab my camera a few times a day, process the images and publish blog posts.
When we go to the cabin up in Crosslake, things are better for both of us. Cali gets to hang out in the great outdoors all day, romping around on the trails, chasing animals and wearing herself out. I get to have some time to myself, and when I do spend time with her she’s not so crazy because she’s been out exercising herself all day. We both love it!
So, after many weeks of good intentions, I finally have some images of her to share. She’s a cutie, so I hope you like them!
