My cousin Damond and his wife Daisy are in town for a few days with their daughter Freya. They live in Panama, so I don’t get to see them very often, and this was the first time I’ve had the opportunity to meet Freya. She’s a gorgeous baby, and every time I looked at her she had a piece of fruit in her hand! She’s always chomping away at something, with juice running down here chin!
We had a picnic lunch with some other members of my family at Minnehaha Park, and the light was perfect for photography. The sky was like a giant softbox! Carrying around my camera bag didn’t sound too appealing, so I threw my Canon 50mm f/1.2L on my camera body and out the door I went. I love this lens because it’s such a great all-around lens to bring with on days like today. It’s so fast that I can knock the background into a blur in almost any situation I come across.
